Thermals, power and acoustic
Intel Core i9 12900K is a hot, power hungry CPU, and Legion T7 makes no exception, with the CPU reaching 96 oC after running our entire batch of tests, while the power consumption peaked at 436W in Prime 95. Of course, the noise level does not exceed 44.7 dB, so we still have enough headroom to speed up the fans, if we want lower temperatures. We used the Balanced fan setting, which means the fans spin at ~ 1700 rpm.
In games, the system power consumption goes up to 568W, but the graphics card has a beefy cooling system, so the GPU temperature does not go beyond 76 oC. And if you remember, Legion T7 is based on an 80PLUS Gold 850W PSU, so we have an absolutely comfortable headroom in terms of power consumption.
